About the Tito Dog App
In a world where every tail wag counts, one pup's journey inspired a revolutionary app. Meet Tito, a spirited three-legged Husky mix whose zest for life knew no bounds. Rescued by some amazing humans after a leg injury, Tito's resilience shone through as he recovered. After several months of recovery and finding a forever home, Tito was undeterred by his injuries. He continued to run miles each day and had a knack for getting into mischief, often exploring the world with his mouth before his paws. His curious nature led him to investigate everything, from the tastiest treats dropped on the floor to the most questionable objects.
One day, after Tito devoured an entire box of crayons, his family found themselves in a panic. Unsure if Tito was in danger, they scoured the internet for answers, but the information was scattered and often conflicting. Determined to help Tito and other dog owners facing similar dilemmas, his family embarked on a mission to create a comprehensive resource that would provide clarity and peace of mind.
Thus, the idea for the app was born. His family envisioned a platform that would not only offer health tips and training advice but also serve as a lifeline for pet parents in moments of uncertainty. With Tito as their inspiration, they developed a tool that could assess the risk of items Tito ingested and provide guidance on when to seek veterinary care.
Humans have enough apps available to them so the Tito app was tailored to all the pups out there. It is truly an app for dogs. We refer to your human friends or family as your Kahus. “Kahu” comes from ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (the Hawaiian language) and refers to a guardian or caretaker. We found this to be the most thoughtful word to describe the relationship between human and dog.
Today, this app stands as a beacon of hope and reassurance for every dog owner, embodying the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. Tailored for dogs, by humans, it's a testament to our unwavering love for our pets, guiding us through every challenge with care and compassion. Get ready to unleash new tricks and adventures with your furry friend!
Where Our Information Comes From
The Tito App provides quick, at-a-glance risk assessments for common things dogs might eat—like chocolate, socks, or grapes. The information is based on publicly available guidance from trusted veterinary sources, animal health organizations, and published safety recommendations.
Our goal is to offer a clear, simple summary of what’s generally known about each item, so you can make a more informed decision when your dog gets into something they shouldn’t.
A Note of Caution
This app is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. When in doubt—especially if your dog is showing symptoms—call your vet or local emergency animal hospital. They know your pup best.
